Last week my family and I went away and spent some time at the beach taking in the sunshine, listening to the calming sound of the waves and watching the dolphins pop in and out of the water. It was so good for the soul to just unplug and spend time with one another and have no agenda or schedule. Eating lunch at 10am, 3pm or whenever we felt like it and only wearing pjs or bathing suits.
I thought to myself there was a time over a decade ago (when I wasn't a photographer and didn’t even own a camera) that I would dread going back to work after time away. I sat on the shore watching our kids build sandcastles and feeling an immense sense of gratitude that when I get back, I have an amazing business that God has blessed me with. I have the most incredible families that I have gotten to know and get to watch grow over the years. I have beautiful new families I am meeting and getting to document and save memories for.
New families like this one. So thankful I got to meet this sweet little blessing and his family! Every newborn session is so different and magical in it’s own way and that’s part of what I love about them so much. Loved my time with these three and just had to share some of my favorites from their recent in home newborn session.... I mean, this heart mealting SMILE?! xo Ashley
