Watching them you could tell they wanted to soak in every single detail they could. They wanted to take in the soft peach fuzz on her head, the curve in her fingertip, the way her mouth slowly opened when she started to fall asleep. They gazed at her as they held her tight, memorizing the shapes of her eyes, the size of her sweet ears, the bend in her toes and the different notes that made up her cry. They took in every ounce of the beauty and gift that their baby Nora is.
They looked at their sweet daughter with those I-can’t-believe-she’s-ours eyes and exhaled those she’s-finally-here breaths. And Nora? Well she held and snuggled her parents and said “thank goodness they are mine” with no words at all. What a beautiful new chapter for this family!
