As soon as I walked in their front door, a few flashbacks flooded my mind right away. Ashley was wearing a gorgeous white dress with these amazing shoes… shoes I recognized as soon as I saw them. :) They were her wedding shoes. I remembered the excitement and energy of their wedding day morning, and the JOY that filled all the minutes of their wedding celebration. Their beautiful vows, their loved ones there to celebrate, the gorgeous flowers, dancing the night away, their sparkler exit. Her white shoes with a touch of blue.
I had another flash back of opening that very front door two years prior to meet and take newborn photos of their first born Camden… I remembered seeing Patrick holding him in his arms, Ashley rocking him and pure happiness on both their faces as they described how life had changed in the best way possible.
Like it was yesterday, I even remember their sunrise engagement session in NYC in Central Park, before all of these other memories had even taken place.
As I walked through their front door to meet and photograph their second newborn son, I was filled with all these flashbacks - beautiful memories of huge parts of their family story that I had the privilege to document. You can’t even begin to imagine how humbling that realization is for me. Instant goosebumps every single time.
